Some tips + I need some help

A friend of me sent Warcraft 3 to me, the program we used to send it didn’t send the whole game.
It took a short bit. So this was my problem when I couldn’t open the game at garena. I got the game from another website then it worked.
I got the 1.23 patch, this didn’t work for me at Local Network. Some friends told me to get 1.24. I downloaded it bur Local Network will still not show me some games. Some help please?
