FEATURES 1.24b (1.24.1.6374)
PC WORLD EDITOR CHANGES
- Increased max map file size from 4 MB to 8 MB.
- Added the ability to store hashtable handles in a hashtable.
- Added GetSpellTargetX and GetSpellTargetY natives.
- Added a new base handle type “Agent” of which many types now extend from.
- Added a SaveAgentHandle native which can be used for saving most handle types.
- Added a JASS optimization dealing with global variable change events.
FIXES
- Fixed a few false positives caused by the “return bug” fix.
- Fixed a crash related to hashtable reference counting.
- “Shadowing” global variables with local variables no longer is possible.
- Fixed a type conversion dealing with operators (i.e. adding a handle with an integer).

I.- DotA Map Not Working? You need Download DotA Allstars 6.62 or latest version DotA 6.63 .
2.- DotA Ai Map Not Working? You need Download DotA 6.62 Ai or DotA 6.62b Ai .
3.- ERROR:
Registry error loading key ‘Warcraft III\InstallPath’
The system cannot find the file specified.
RESULT: Prepatch failed
Fix with Warcraft III Setup, read Installation.
4.- If you play warcraft on PvPGN Server (Private Server), Download: PvPGN Loader 1.24.
5.- Error Cannot find war3.exe: The game Warcraft 3 uses “Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries”, download Here:

INSTALLATION:
Update: Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (any version) to 1.24b (Patch 1.24b FULL).
1.- Download “Warcraft III Setup” (173 kb.) and unzip.
- Run “WC3Setup.exe”.
- Press “Start”, choose “Browse”, select the folder where warcraft III is installed (This is “C:\Program Files\Warcraft III” by default), select the file “Frozen Throne.exe” and “Open” (fix Warcraft III Registry Entries), and “close”.
2.- Download “Patch Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne 1.24b FULL (War3TFT_124b_English.exe), Install and Play!.
*NOTE: The game no longer requires the CD – NOCD – to play.
- If you have many files corrupted, uninstall Warcraft III completely. When that’s done, then re-install Warcraft 3: Reign Of Chaos, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, and upgrade with patch 1.24 FULL (War3TFT_124b_English.exe). This should fix your problem.

1.- Uninstall Warcraft III.
2.- Restart your system (Windows).
3.- Install warcraft III: Reign of chaos.
4.- Install warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
5.- Download “Warcraft III Setup” (173 kb.) and unzip.
- Run “WC3Setup.exe”.

September 1st, 2009 at 8:03 amAs it seems, the worldeditor.exe error only occures with 1.24a to 1.24b patch so I suggest you to download full 1.24b patch (50MB or so) and your problems will be fixed.

I installed it. I was able to play Dota for a while. then a day after, when I tried to play Dota again, the game doesn’t let me create game so that I can play A.I. After I click on create game, it just goes back to the Lan page.

1.- Download “Warcraft III Setup” (173 kb.) and unzip.(just double click the big file something like 180,000+ kb file in the winrar or the folder where it’s unzipped.
- Run “WC3Setup.exe”.
- Press “Start”, choose “Browse”, select the folder where warcraft III is installed (This is “C:\Program Files\Warcraft III” by default), select the file “Frozen Throne.exe” and “Open” (fix Warcraft III Registry Entries), and “close”.
2.- Download “Patch Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne 1.24b FULL (War3TFT_124b_English.exe), Install and Play!.

For those guys who are having problems with you not playing or cannot see the old maps its because 1.24b patch is made for the new maps 6.63 or 6.64 version maps. This new patch is not compatible with the old patch which is 1.20 – 1.23. That’s just it. Hope I answered your question.

May 22nd, 2010 at 6:15 amYou can only play games with people using the same patch as you. Most of the people on warcraft 3 use patch 1.24b since it has the least amount of lag.

March 27th, 2011 at 1:10 ambrian the war.exe file is a trojan file it gets removed whnevr ur antivirs scans it…so u bttr shut down ur antivirus (quickheal in most of the case ) TO RUN WARCCRAFT(.EXE FILE) ….and for backup u shuld compress ur warcraft file (winzip it)coz antivirus usually dont search comprssd matterials…… i hope this helps u out:)
